The origin of the longboard and e-longboard
What is longboard?
The simplest and most common translation of the concept of longboard is a skateboard with an elongated countertop. You can not quite agree with this, however, there is a lot of truth in these words. At the time when the first longboard concepts were created, the actual basis for their creation were classic skateboards, but not only. The creators (probably it was not one person, only a whole group of people) was more about combining the surf board with the wheels and thus getting the possibility of street surfing.
History of longboarding.
The creators of the classic longboard are considered to be surfers from the Californian coast. It was created between the 50’s and 70’s of the 20th century (various dates are accepted because over the years this board has evolved and various sources take on different origins of the uprising). Sitting sometimes for a few days and waiting for the right wind, they said that they must find an alternative. Initially, they attached skateboard wheels to their boards and tried to ride them on the streets. Later, modeling themselves more on skateboards than surfboards, they came up with the idea of lengthening table tops from classic skateboards. After many years various shapes and different elements of boards were developed, but one thing remained unchanged: longboard is supposed to give the feeling of surfing the streets.
Contemporary longboard
Currently, each of us can choose the shape of the tabletop and the material from which it was made, but also rubber bands in sawmills that allow for a different radius of twisting. We can choose from a whole range of colors and the degree of hardness of the wheels on which it depends how smoothly and quickly we will “float” on our board through the city. Many directions of longboard board development have been created, but all of its types combine the same with the possibility of surfing the city at the beginning.
Electric longboard
Just like a classic board, it was made in the state and has many fathers. There is no specific date of creation, but this is the beginning of the 21st century and just like in the case of a classic board, different people tried differently to increase the pleasure of driving by adding an electric motor to it. My opinion is that this electric miracle is able to transfer the pleasure of surfing to the streets. Driving on an electric longboard is distinguished by the fact that we are able to drive without taking our legs off the board, which is more like snowboarding or surfboarding than riding on a classic longue.
Summarizing.
Longboard was created in order to transfer the pleasure of surfing on asphalt, but only after adding it to the classic engine board, we can fully enjoy this and I wish you that you will enjoy the pleasure of driving on an electric longboard while we have such beautiful weather;)
